Ráček Family in Bohemia

Third great grandfather Josef Ráček, a shoemaker, was born in 1781 and lived in the village of Krchleby, house number 11. His brother Frantisek was born in 1779, Vaclav was born in 1788, and his sister Therezia was born on December 14, 1789. Frantisek passed away on September 4, 1791, at the age of 12 and Vaclav passed away on October 22, 1794, at the age of 6.

Josef had four children with his wife, Marie Radientová - Františka, born January 25, 1807, Anna, born June 20, 1809 Jan (John), born June 3, 1812 and second great grandfather František Ráček, born October 17, 1817 in Čečkovice No.18.

František married his first wife Veronika in 1847. They had one daughter, Anna. Veronika passed away in Krchleby on February 15, 1850. Third great grandfather Josef passed away in Krchleby on June 9, 1846, at the age of 65.

František married Marie Koudelová in the nearby village of Štrampouch on April 28, 1850. They had two children together. Václav Ráček was born on January 22, 1858 and died on June 23, 1860, when he was 2 years old.

Great grandfather František Josef Ráček was born on April 13, 1861 in Strampouch, house number 30. His father, František, died on October 17, 1877, in Strampouch at the age of 58. František Josef married Maria Zborowski in 1885 when he was 24 years old. Their first three children were born in Štrampouch: Stanislav, born October 20, 1885, František, born April 28, 1887, and Anjela (Della), born August 12, 1890.

The family emigrated to the United States in 1891. The following children were born in Nebraska: Celia, born April 1892, Ludvik, born November 27, 1893, Bronislava (Bernice), born January 20, 1896, Mary, born 1901 and Ladislav (grandfather Lester) born October 18, 1903.

František Josef died in 1917 in Butler County, Nebraska, at the age of 56, and was buried there.
